ENGLISH UNIT 2: PEOPLE AND COUNTRIES

Dear Parents,

Your child is learning about countries. In this unit your child will learn how to ask and talk about where people are from and which languages they speak.

In Unit 2 your child will learn about why people move to a foreign country and ways to help a new child at school. Your child will also learn about the Wild West and children in Britain whose families originally come from other countries. They will also play a game to practise word stress in English.

In this unit your child will have the opportunity to read and write questions and answers about where people are from, where they live now and which languages they speak. Your child will also read short texts about where children and their families are from and write a short text about their own family, following a model.
