UNIT 2: THE SENSES

   


Your child has been learning about The senses. At the end of this unit your child should: 
- recognise that our senses and our nervous system help us to find out about our surroundings
- identify the five senses and their related sense organs·  recognise the basic functions of the eye, ear, nose, tongue and skin.
- recognise and name some different parts of the eye, ear, nose, tongue and skin.
- identify ways of looking after our eyes and ears.
- identify how we use our senses·  know the importance of the nervous system and how it functions
- listen to, read and understand a story about a visit to the optician’s
- be able to write a simple text about how I use my senses.
